Introduction to the Child Care Profession
The Introduction to the Child Care Profession class will prepare participants to be successful in their work with young children. This will be done by thoroughly exploring the topics of: Child Growth and Development, Behavior Guidance, the Learning Environment, Adult/Child Interactions, Interpersonal Relationships, Licensing Regulations, Health and Safety (including SBS and SIDS), and Professionalism. Students will be required to participate in class activities and complete assigned projects. There is a quiz at the completion of this class. This is a foundation class required for all Assistant, Lead/Head Teachers in Group Child Care programs, and for all Caregivers in Licensed Family programs. On-line registration is not available at this time. Please register by calling the office at 414-562-2650.
