Each child is a unique human being with gifts, talents and needs. Some children have special health needs or other disabilities. Children’s disabilities are as unique as the children who have them. Quality caregivers and teachers know that including a child who has special needs in their program, so that children of all abilities have the opportunity to learn, laugh and grow alongside one another, is valuable for children, families and caregivers alike.
Many resources are available to you. Contact the Wisconsin Child Care Information Center at 1-800-362-7353 to request a copy of the parent and caregiver / teacher resource booklet “Together - Children Grow.”
