Commentary. This will not solve the problem. Child Care Providers do not need more requirements. There are rules and regulations already in place that revolve around transportation. Did you know that the State of Wisconsin ranks #6 in the nation in having rules, regulations, and policies. The problem stems from overseeing the rules and regulations. The state ranks #41 in the nation in enforcing the standards. This tells us that the state needs a Quality Rating System. Now don't get me wrong, the mere fact of having such a system will not solve the problem either. It is the fact that providers receiving the training and technical assistance that they (you) need and deserve will infact improve the quality of care.
