Child Abuse & Neglect with Sudden Infant Death Syndrome
This workshop will review current laws regarding child abuse and neglect and strategies that can be used to identify children who have been abused and/or neglected. A procedure for reporting abuse will also be identified. Information about factors that can lessen the incidents of abuse will also be shared. Information on SIDS will also be shared including: information to help child care providers and parents have a better understanding of the risk factors indentified in cases of SIDS deaths and the techniques that have been identified as reducing the instances of SIDS cases.
