Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS)
Shaken Baby Syndrome is a severe form of brain injury that occurs when a child is forcibly shaken. This workshop includes strategies to aid in the prevention of SBS occurring. Signs for identification and steps-to-take once identification is made are also reviewed. All individuals working or volunteering with children under the age of 5 in a child care setting are required to complete this traing prior to beginning working with children. Note: 4C is an approved agency for this training. Each of the instructors is also recognized as approved to provide this training.
